Long Beach Suffrage 100 Prepares for a Year of Celebrations with an Open House
Long Beach, CA— On August 5, 2019, members of the Suffrage Circle of Women, invite the public to learn about the many events taking place in Long Beach to acknowledge 100 years of all women’s struggles for the right to vote, including the central role that Long Beach played in the fight for women’s rights.
The Open House event will provide information on how to participate in various events related to education, history, arts, and civic engagement. Event organizer, Amy Eriksen, stated, “We want every resident interested in getting involved an opportunity to engage with a very important part of Long Beach’s and the nation’s political history.”
